1. Collection, processing and use of personal data
When you visit this website, we do not collect any personal data from you. Personal data is only collected if you provide it to us yourself via our contact form. This data is used exclusively to respond to your enquiry and is deleted afterwards.
2. Use of our own cookies
When you access certain pages, a so-called “session cookie” is set. This is a small text file that is automatically deleted from your computer at the end of your browser session. This file serves solely to enable the use of certain applications. 3. Server log files
As with any connection to a web server, the server of our web hosting provider cyon logs and stores certain technical data. This includes the IP address and operating system of your device, the data accessed, the time of access, the type of browser and the browser request, including the origin of the request (referrer). This is technically necessary in order to make our website available to you. The web hosting provider protects this data against unauthorised access by means of technical and organisational measures and does not pass it on to third parties. Insofar as we process personal data in this context, we do so on the basis of our interest in offering you the best possible user experience and ensuring the security and stability of our systems.
4. Google Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. Google Analytics uses “cookies”, i.e. text files that are stored on your computer and enable an analysis of your use of the website.
Google uses this information on behalf of the operator of this website to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide the website operator with further services related to website and internet usage. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics is not combined with other Google data.
You can prevent cookies from being stored, or delete them, by adjusting the settings in your browser accordingly.
5. Newsletter
If you have subscribed to our newsletter with your email address, we store and use your email address to send you our newsletter containing information and advertising about us until you unsubscribe.
For our newsletter service, we use Mailchimp, provided by The Rocket Science Group LLC, 675 Ponce de Leon Ave NE, Suite 5000, Atlanta, GA 30308, USA.
When you enter your email address to receive the newsletter, it is first stored by Mailchimp for the purpose of sending the owner an email in which they can confirm their subscription (“double opt-in”). After such confirmation, the email address is stored permanently by Mailchimp until you unsubscribe from the newsletter or we delete it. Mailchimp stores the date of subscription and the IP address from which the subscription was made. Your IP address is not used for any other purpose.
Please note that the data collected and used via Mailchimp is stored and processed on servers in the USA. By consenting to receive our newsletter, you agree to this. In addition, we have concluded a data processing agreement with Mailchimp based on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. Your email address is not passed on to any other third parties.
You can unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time. Every newsletter email contains an unsubscribe link. You can also revoke your consent to the use of your email address at any time with effect for the future. To do so, please use the contact details provided below.
6. Online shop
Please note that, to simplify the purchasing process and for subsequent contract processing, the online shop operator stores the IP data of the connection owner by means of cookies, as well as the buyer’s name, address and payment method.
The data you provide is required to fulfil the contract or to carry out pre-contractual measures. Without this data, we cannot conclude a contract with you. Data is not transferred to third parties, with the exception of the transfer of credit card data to the processing banks/payment service providers for the purpose of debiting the purchase price, to the transport/shipping company we commission to deliver the goods, and to our tax advisor to fulfil our tax obligations.
If the purchasing process is cancelled, the data stored by us is deleted. If a contract is concluded, all data relating to the contractual relationship is stored until the statutory tax retention period (10 years) has expired. In addition, name, address, purchased goods and date of purchase are stored until the product liability period (10 years) has expired.
7. Your rights
You are generally entitled to the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability, revocation and objection. If you believe that the processing of your data violates data protection law or that your data protection rights have otherwise been infringed, you can lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority.
